Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse is a 100 kilometre charity walk from Cape Agulhas to Danger Point Lighthouse over 4 days. This challenging event is taken on exclusively by Ladies, mostly from the Overstrand. Lighthouse 2 Lighthouse is not a charity organisation itself, but a vehicle to raise money for registered causes. Every cent collected is handed over to the charity selected, and this year, the beneficiary of this fundraising event is: Hermanus Child Welfare!
This event will be raising funds to protect the safety and wellbeing of children in the Overberg, who are in need of a home for special needs, both physically and mentally.
Just Pure is delighted to be one of the sponsors of this initiative. The 60 Ladies that will be taking on this ardous walk, will be spoilt with a few ‘Just Pure luxuries’ during this tough 4-day event.
When Just Pure was invited to be a sponsor of this challenge, we grabbed the opportunity to be more actively involved, and Michelle Koen (Marketing and Sales), never saying no to an adventure, didn’t think twice about taking part in this event and worthy fundraising cause.
The 2012 Lighthouse walk, taking place from Thursday 29 March to Sunday 01 April, will be the 7th annual event, and last year, it raised R171,171.00 for SOFCA and a further R15,350.00 for Izibusizo Children’s Home. The goal this year, is to both raise the bar and the spirit, and hand over R200,000.00 to Hermanus Child Welfare,
How can YOU help?
Each person participating requires to raise an amount of at least R2000 to take part. The more we raise, the bigger the cheque at the end of the event, and the larger the smiles of the children when their new Home can be built! We are sending out a request to ask you to open your hearts, and your wallets (even for only R20 or R50!), and help us raise a record amount this year!!
