The Oil Cleansing Method
Posted on February 28 2018
If you are using a more hydrating moisturiser, a skin oil, or maybe even a balm, yet still experiencing dryness, inflamed skin or irritation? It may be time to try the oil cleansing method.
Cleanser is one of the most important steps in your skin care routine, nourishing Jojoba Oil not only removes make-up and the impurities, but it should balance oil production and treat your skin to added deep hydration. Nothing does that more effectively than the oil cleansing method. Ideal for all skin types.
Did you know? The basis of oil cleansing is that oil dissolves oil. Besides removing natural oil from the skin, cleansers often have chemical and synthetic fragrances that irritate the skin.
Have you tried the oil cleansing method?
Many women have never considered applying oil to their skin, let alone using it as a cleanser.
The oil cleansing method is seeing an increased interest because of the glorious effects it has on skin.
Over cleansing, or using the wrong cleanser, or even cleansing too often, can strip the skin of natural oils. The Oil cleansing Method not only offers relief to dry skin but plumps and tones. It also helps to even tone and makes skin incredibly smooth and hydrated.
How does oil cleansing work? Oils bind to dirt and impurities on skin better than a water-based product. Skin is cleansed and pores are cleared without depleting natural oils. Oils are also great for gently removing make-up, including eye make-up.
Choosing an oil cleanser made with healthy natural plant oils also provides skin with omegas and antioxidants which prevent premature aging.
Avoid oil cleansers that contain synthetic ingredients, or mineral oil as they are comedogenic, can clog pores and are bad for your skin health.
How to Use: Begin with dry skin. Use a few drops on organic cotton wool to remove all make-up. Warm a small amount of oil cleanser in palms. Massage gently into skin. Remove oil with warm water and organic vegetable sponges or a muslin washcloth.
Apply your favourite toner and then moisturiser/facial oil post cleanse.
The oil cleansing method is beneficial to all skin types. Oil cleansing can balance oily, dry, or sensitive skin, or skin with acne, blackheads and blemishes. It leaves your skin healthy, balanced and hydrated with no signs of redness or irritation.
Allow you skin to adjust to your new cleansing routine: it may initially produce more oil, but soon your natural acid mantle will be restored and it will balance out.
Your skin will love you for it and...
